What's in a name
Pretoria Society to help Civilian Blind was established in 1929 to provide sheltered employment to visually impaired people in the Pretoria area.
It later became Pretoria Society for the Blind. In 1996 the name was changed to Pretoria Workshop for the Blind to broadcast the fact that this was indeed a workplace as opposed to a social venue.
The "DREAMHOUSE" name was adopted in order to establish a brand name with a logo which must become so synonymous with quality products produced by people with disabilities that it could shed the "Workshop for the Blind" segment
