Vacuumforming and Packaging
VacuumformingWe presently operate three vacuumformers:
- A heavy duty former, table size ,570 x ,860 with topmould facility. Capable of drawing up to 4mm ABS off either glassfibre or alluminium moulds. This machine is used to draw bucket seats but can also draw small blisters and did baine-maries for the Ice cream industry. This resulted in drawing 7 x 5litre tubs per draw from 1mm PET.
Can also operate automatically.
- A semi-automatic medium size former, table size ,500 x ,770. For lighter packaging blisters.
- An inline former with topmould facility and water cooled for alluminium moulds. This machine delivers 5000 lifts per 8 hr shift of 8 up x 200um PET blisters.
Simpler moulds are manufactured in-house but alluminium moulds are out-sourced
Cutting
Two roller cutters are available for fast cutting of vacuumformed sheets.
Cutting dies are outsourced to an excellent die maker.
Blister loading and sealing
A 600 sq. m. facility with up to 150 personnel is available to do light assembly work, blister loading and nine blistersealing machines can seal up to 60 000 blistercards per 8 hr shift.
Quality assurance
Doing the job right the 1 st time Our motto is: A half done job today results in no job tomorrow . A Workshop Manager, a Quality Controller, a Foreman and 3 Supervisors oversee the Quality in this section. We pride ourselves on our quality and service delivery.
Logistics
A 3-ton forklift, a 4-ton closed truck, a 1-ton and ½ ton bakkies are available for collection and deliveries
Service
We will provide free advice on packaging and supply a one-stop service. Entrepreneurs needing advice on their first time packaging are very welcome as lots of the bigger enterprises have neither the capacity nor time to tend to smaller clients.
